Leading Florida Inspection Company Wins Contract with State
Jacksonville, FL, May 1, 2008 - Ameripro Inspection Corporation announced it has secured a contract with the State of Florida to perform wind mitigation inspections through the My Safe Florida Home program.
Ameripro is one of nine companies to be awarded a contract to provide these inspections free of charge to eligible homeowners. These inspections provide homeowners information needed to harden their home against hurricanes. They are just one way the state is educating and aiding families in Florida.
The company has been contracted to perform inspections in Region 3 beginning May 1, 2008 and is currently in the process of recruiting and training inspectors on several new program requirements.
The My Safe Florida Home program was created to provide all Floridians living in single-family, site-built homes a free wind inspection to determine their home’s ability to withstand hurricane and provide insurance discounts. Eligible homeowners wishing to have Ameripro conduct their free My Safe Florida Home inspection can apply on-line at www.WindCertification.com or by calling (866) 449-5109. Homeowners who receive free inspections through the program receive detailed inspectio reports outlining their home’s features, approximate insurance premium discounts, if eligible, as well as estimated upgrade/repair costs to improve their home and matching grant information. Since April 2007, the MSFH program has performed more than 214,000 free wind inspections and more than 29,000 homeowners have been approved for matching grants and are working with the program to harden their homes. Statewide, the program has issued grants to homeowners totaling more than $19.2 million.
