When selecting inspection companies for your approved inspectors lists for your clients, do you -
- Choose an inspector that you met in reception based on a flyer, business card, appearance etc?
- Pass flyers from the mail room directly on to your client without qualifying them?
- Conduct a background check to make sure he/she had no convictions and won’t place your client, home owner or yourself in danger?
- Check past experience with other clients that used them?
- Check to see how long they have actually been in business?
- Check to ensure that all the right insurances are in place?
- Check to see if they are in the yellow pages – ( if not a new inspector)?
- Check to see if they uses their cell phone for telephone number as their main contact – not a stable company for any client to use.
- Request a list of previous customer referrals?
- Base the decision on the quality of the inspectors collateral materials and not on reputation
- Ask experienced Realtors for advice on which inspectors are reputable and qualified?
